It's ok to not be ok.

Listen, I know things look pretty bad right now. Maybe your partner left you, your anxiety is increasing, and your bank account is empty. There is a lot to handle right now. Take a deep breath. Inhale-Exhale. You are not alone.

It may not be exactly what you're going through, but I'm sure you've worked hard. You did a lot of things. Sometimes, it seems like one thing goes wrong after another. And another, and another.

Everyone has their struggles, their own issues to work through, and sometimes things don’t turn out the way you want them to and there is always a reason why. I called that reason a lesson.

Feel your feelings

It’s okay to say that you’re not okay. And that means your feelings and emotions are valid, no matter what they are.

It took me a while to learn this simple fact. You don't need to be strong all the time. It is ok to don't be ok.

Take a break from everything and just stay with your emotions, tomorrow is a new day, but for now, just let yourself feel this bad day.

If you need help it is okay to ask for it. It's okay to talk to someone about it. It's okay to write it all down. It’s okay to get lost for a few moments.

You may say that you don’t see an end to your pain, but as I discovered, the only way out of your pain is through it. Allowing yourself not to feel ok involves accepting all feelings, thoughts, or sensations, and sitting with them until they pass. If you try to avoid, suppress, or ignore them, they will only grow stronger and leave you overwhelmed and with mental and health consequences. Trust the process, trust yourself and help yourself by asking for help when everything is all becoming too much.

Be gentle with yourself. Take your time and value YOUR EMOTIONS and trust me YOU WILL BE OKAY and you will break through and be happy again.
